How Many Times Were The Biharis Sued?

The Biharis were sued by their own artists like BB King but also from producers & artists from the outside, like Herb Alpert.

  1. I’ve read, but have never been able to verify, that there was a lawsuit filed by another label (who?) over Crown’s “Music For Big Dame Hunters,” the ‘Sound Of A Thousand Strings’ LP with the famous Irish McCalla jungle girl cover photo. The suit claimed that Crown had pirated the entire contents of the album from one of their LPS.

It certainly isn’t impossible, given Crown’s “business ethics” and the proliferation of string orchestra LPS in the late 50’s, both credited (Mantovani, Melachrino, Clebanoff) and anonymous (101 Strings, Living Strings, etc.)
